Job Description

This job opening is for a General Manager position at a restaurant that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee separate from McDonald's USA. Although this franchisee operates under a license agreement using McDonald's logos and food products, it remains a separate employer responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, scheduling, and supervision. McDonald's USA does not have any control or involvement in these employment decisions. The General Manager will be employed directly by the franchisee, not McDonald's USA, and all applications and employment interactions will be processed by the franchisee.

Job Requirements

  • at least 18 years old
  • previous general manager experience preferred
  • experience working in high volume quick service restaurant environments preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • capacity to set and achieve business goals
  • ability to develop and coach team members

Job Qualifications

  • previous general manager experience running high volume locations
  • background in quick service restaurants preferred or experience in hospitality or retail
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service standards
  • managerial and leadership skills
  • at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • run a profitable restaurant and ensure the restaurant meets McDonald’s standards of quality service and cleanliness
  • set restaurant goals and create plans to achieve them
  • lead and coach a team of Department Managers
  • help Department Managers set goals and monitor their progress
  • provide coaching and direction to improve departments
  • hire and develop Department and Shift Managers
  • manage staffing scheduling and employee supervision
