Job Requirements

  • Previous general manager experience or assistant general manager equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer and office software
  • Ability to analyze data from spreadsheets and databases
  • Experience with hotel information systems and accounting
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of general manager experience in select service hotels
  • Four or more years as assistant general manager
  • Strong computer and office skills including email communication
  • Experience with hotel information and accounting systems
  • Premium brand experience preferred (Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, or IHG)

Job Duties

  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution on the hotel floor
  • Develop cohesion with associates to maximize potential
  • Maintain and grow market share, targeting competition
  • Successfully interact with hotel ownership and corporate staff
  • Focus on revenue index, flex/flow, and guest satisfaction
  • Develop and implement staff optimization plans
  • Build positive relationships with sales staff and leadership
