Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in student or multifamily housing or similar
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience with property management software, preferably Entrata
  • Knowledge of market rate and LIHTC programs
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing Laws and EEO laws
  • Strong leadership and financial management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Effective team recruitment and training skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2-5 years of experience in student or multifamily housing or equivalent education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and property management software (Entrata preferred)
  • Working knowledge of market rate and LIHTC programs, Fair Housing Laws, and EEO laws
  • Strong skills in staff recruitment and development, financial management, marketing strategy, scheduling, and operational oversight

Job Duties

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team that embodies company values and culture
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and professional environment for staff and residents
  • Ensure staff are trained in landlord/tenant statutes, Fair Housing, and safety regulations
  • Promote harmonious relationships with residents, parents, staff, university partners, and community
  • Encourage team visibility on campus and within local business communities
  • Oversee daily operations including leasing, maintenance, customer service, and vendor management
  • Implement and refine systems to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Supervise maintenance and contracted services to maintain curb appeal, cleanliness, and safety
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies
  • Maintain occupancy rates at or above 99% and collections at or above 98%
  • Maximize net operating income through cost control, revenue generation, and budgeting
  • Update and utilize leasing, accounting, and property management systems effectively
  • Analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and provide performance updates
  • Oversee payroll, invoicing, and hiring documentation
  • Lead annual marketing plan and track leasing goals
  • Ensure marketing channels and materials accurately reflect the brand
  • Conduct market research and coach staff on competitive landscape
  • Plan and execute resident events to enhance community engagement
  • Collaborate with local schools and student organizations for outreach
