Job Requirements

  • three or more years of related experience as a general manager or assistant general manager in a similar setting
  • solid knowledge of hotel management, hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • ability and experience in successfully leading strong and effective work teams in a high volume, time sensitive environment
  • ability to lead others by mentoring and providing training that results in staff meeting or exceeding guest expectations
  • ability to develop and maintain effective operating and control processes to maximize operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to operating criteria

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management preferred
  • three or more years experience as a general manager or assistant general manager
  • solid knowledge of hotel management and service standards
  • strong leadership and team building skills
  • experience with budget preparation and profit/loss analysis
  • ability to solve problems and remain calm in stressful situations
  • effective communication and mentoring skills
  • proficiency with hotel management software

Job Duties

  • Provide executive level leadership to drive overall operating and financial performance
  • prepare annual budget and achieve budgeted revenues
  • ensure quality while minimizing waste
  • optimize sales and marketing resources to meet revenue goals
  • drive outstanding guest service culture
  • maintain property appearance and oversee maintenance
  • ensure compliance with safety policies
  • develop management and staff programs
  • conduct performance evaluations
  • handle guest concerns promptly
