Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7-10 years of container operations management experience in senior roles
- must have valid DL
- proven leadership skills
- experience with computerized operating systems
- knowledge of safety and accident prevention codes and regulations
- knowledge and understanding of cargo stowage and stability are strongly desired
- knowledge of local unions dispatching rules, work rules, and contracts
- required to observe all safety and health requirements for container terminal environment
- TWIC card required

Job Duties
- Supervise subordinate personnel to ensure consistent work with organizational goals
- work with marketing team in establishing contracts
- work with contract team in establishing rates
- collaborate with Port Authority to maintain lease commitments and ensure safe, efficient daily operations
- engage with current and future customers to ensure satisfaction and address concerns
- participate in resolving on-the-job grievances and labor relations
- implement schedule and policy changes
- ensure continuous improvement of policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
- ensure staff compliance with administrative policies, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
- promote safe work activities through safety audits and meetings
- monitor spending to align with budgets
- analyze financial information to develop plans for profit increase and service improvement
- set operations policies and safety procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
