Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within retail or dealership environments
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and profitability goals
  • Experience with employee recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel to support dealership events and community activities
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance

Job Duties

  • Embrace MarineMax values and mission statement enthusiastically and lead by example
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, and developing team members
  • Plan, assign, and direct work tasks to team members
  • Conduct performance appraisals, reward, discipline, and resolve employee issues
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to meet employment requirements and manage team changes
  • Support sales efforts by demonstrating products and explaining features to customers
  • Manage sales deals following MarineMax One Price strategy and commission guidelines
  • Work with Regional President to manage inventory and avoid aged stock
  • Maintain high FANS scores by ensuring customer satisfaction and quality product delivery
  • Oversee profitability through staff management, financial analysis, SG&A control, and sales goal achievement
  • Resolve customer complaints and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence
  • Analyze financial statements, recommend improvements, and monitor budget and expenditures
  • Assess and improve operational procedures for efficiency and productivity
  • Coordinate inventory management with Products Department and Regional President
  • Facilitate team professional development through leadership and training programs
  • Participate in company strategy, policy meetings, and forecast planning
  • Organize and attend boat shows and marketing events to enhance market presence
  • Supervise facility management and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations
  • Promote and participate in safety programs to maintain a hazard-free workplace
  • Communicate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
