Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be available to close the store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate business meetings and conferences, including overnight stays and interstate travel
  • Maintain valid identification for airline travel
  • Frequent use of computer and telephonic devices
  • Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift
  • Frequent bending, pushing, reaching, twisting, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Continuous walking and manipulation of objects during shift

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
  • Proven success in driving top-line sales, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
  • Experience monitoring inventory, achieving operational excellence, driving a service culture, and executing merchandising directives
  • Skilled in attracting, developing, and motivating talent with leadership experience
  • Proficient with basic technology including Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to react well under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and adapt to change

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink goals
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to maximize productivity and meet financial goals
  • Address financial and operational issues identified through reporting and audits
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience and sales
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
  • Maintain regular attendance and uphold Ulta Beauty’s attendance policies
  • Attract, hire, and retain diverse top talent and manage staffing needs
  • Address policy violations with corrective actions in partnership with people management
  • Build a highly engaged team fostering collaboration and communication
  • Create an inclusive environment supporting associate growth and engagement
  • Lead manager and associate development through training, feedback, performance reviews, and succession planning
  • Participate in ongoing training and ensure team compliance with professional development
  • Model open communication and align team goals with company strategy
  • Promote teamwork and provide clear direction alongside the management team
  • Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to deliver a superior guest experience and drive key performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code
  • Use scheduling and task management tools to optimize staffing and workload
  • Protect company assets through adherence to safety, inventory, cash management, and loss prevention standards
  • Manage day-to-day inventory control including theft reporting, damages, and product returns
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and communicate business trends to field leadership
