Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • available to close the store at least once per week

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
  • success in financial management including driving sales, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
  • proven retail management abilities such as inventory control, achieving operational excellence, fostering service culture, and merchandising execution
  • leadership experience in attracting, developing, and motivating talent, adapting to change, and influencing teams
  • proficient with technology including Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to use good judgment under pressure and adapt to changing situations

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty's goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty including credit, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support store scheduling needs, maximize productivity, and achieve sales and payroll goals
  • Address issues from financial and operational reporting as well as store audits to achieve company goals and drive profitability
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and enhance guest service experience
  • Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
  • Maintain prompt, regular attendance and uphold attendance policy for all associates
  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent and efficiently address staffing needs
  • Address policy violations with corrective action in partnership with District Manager and People Success
  • Build a highly engaged team embodying Ulta Beauty brand through collaboration and open communication
  • Create an inclusive environment inspiring growth and engagement
  • Lead all aspects of manager and associate development including training, feedback, coaching, performance reviews, succession planning, and development plans
  • Ensure ongoing training participation for self and direct reports to drive sales performance
  • Model open communication by sharing enterprise strategy and creating aligned goals
  • Promote a teamwork culture by working alongside management and providing clear direction
  • Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program through business ownership and coaching
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, dress code, and scheduling tools
  • Use task management tools to prioritize and complete store workload
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss through adherence to store standards and procedures
  • Execute day-to-day inventory control and theft reporting
  • Support continuous improvement by adopting company initiatives
  • Communicate with field leadership on business trends, challenges, and opportunities
