Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of documented franchised select service hotel management
  • Ability to leverage provided technology for property management
  • Ability to take direction, manage employees, accomplish tasks independently, and pay attention to detail with little supervision
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and manage several tasks at once
  • Ability to remain calm and in control in emergency or difficult situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of documented franchised select service hotel management experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple departments and lead a team effectively
  • Strong understanding of revenue management and local market analysis
  • Demonstrated skills in sales and marketing planning
  • Ability to hire, train, and develop hotel staff
  • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to remain calm under pressure and manage emergencies effectively
  • Commitment to brand standards and service excellence

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and actively manage housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast service, and guest reception departments to ensure a consistent, high quality guest experience
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores on a daily basis
  • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues satisfactorily
  • Continually monitor local market and comp set and strategically calibrate rates to outperform the local comp set
  • Engage local community through CVB, Chamber, and other organizations to stay connected to area events
  • Implement and maintain an effective sales and marketing plan
  • Manage sales director to ensure group bookings, LNRs, and SMERF business
  • Hire, train, and develop new employees
  • Delegate appropriate duties to maximize labor hours and minimize turnover
  • Maintain all hotel departments and operations within budget and utilize conservative economics for supply ordering
  • Work with ownership to create budgets and forecasts
  • Supervise weekly, monthly, and quarterly deep cleaning and preventative maintenance initiatives
  • Exceed brand and ownership standards of performance and excellence
  • Ensure all reporting is complete and meets ownership standards
  • Monitor employee labor hours to ensure they do not exceed budget
  • Ensure department heads complete daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities and checklists
  • Inspect rooms with housekeepers weekly
  • Submit purchase orders to home office timely
  • Be on call 24 hours to assist with hotel issues
