Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of documented franchised select service hotel management
  • Ability to leverage provided technology
  • Ability to take direction, manage employees, and accomplish tasks independently with attention to detail
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to remain calm and in control in emergency or difficult situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of documented franchised select service hotel management experience
  • Ability to leverage provided technology to manage property effectively
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to supervise and delegate multiple tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proven capability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
  • Flexible schedule availability including weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Ability to engage with community and develop sales strategies

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and actively manage housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast service, and guest reception departments to ensure a consistent, high quality guest experience
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores daily
  • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues to satisfactory resolutions
  • Continually monitor local market and competitive set and strategically calibrate rates to outperform competitors
  • Engage local community through CVB, Chamber, and other organizations to stay connected to local events
  • Implement and maintain an effective sales and marketing plan
  • Manage sales director to ensure group bookings, LNRs, and SMERF business
  • Hire, train, and develop new employees
  • Delegate appropriate duties to maximize labor hours and minimize turnover
  • Maintain hotel departments and operations within budget
  • Work with ownership to create budgets and forecasts
  • Supervise weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly reporting meets ownership standards
  • Monitor employee labor hours to prevent budget excess
  • Ensure department heads complete responsibilities and checklists
  • Inspect rooms weekly with housekeeping
  • Submit purchase orders to home office timely
  • Be on call 24 hours to address hotel issues
