Job Requirements

  • Must have proven experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a Marriott select-service hotel
  • Must demonstrate ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and foster a positive, high-engagement culture
  • Must possess strong operational knowledge across all hotel departments
  • Must have solid understanding of hotel financials, including P&L management, labor controls, and budgeting
  • Must have experience driving guest satisfaction, brand compliance, and quality assurance results
  • Must be proficient with hotel systems and technology
  • FOSSE experience is preferred
  • Must have excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • College degree preferred but not required
  • equivalent hospitality leadership experience will be considered

Job Duties

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of all hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team and frontline associates
  • Ensure full compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety requirements, and JL Hospitality Management SOPs
  • Drive guest satisfaction through proactive service recovery, quality inspections, and property walks
  • Partner closely with Sales, Revenue Management, HR, Accounting, and Engineering teams to achieve hotel and company objectives
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control to maximize profitability
  • Analyze performance metrics and take decisive action to improve REVPAR, guest scores, and operational efficiency
  • Participate in weekly leadership, revenue, and company strategy meetings
  • Serve as the primary ambassador for the hotel within the local community and market
