Job Requirements

  • Work experience as General Manager over 18 months with references
  • Valid drivers license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to train at training store in Hampton Roads
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Availability to work all restaurant operational hours
  • Must successfully clear background and reference checks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Three years of previous General Manager experience preferred for external candidates
  • One year of experience as Assistant General Manager in casual dining for internal candidates
  • Successful completion of all required brand training and certifications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of business and financial principles
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm

Job Duties

  • Manage the assigned restaurant to meet operational excellence standards
  • Assess business performance and identify trends and issues
  • Use approved processes, tools and systems to maximize sales and profitability
  • Build in-house and off-premise sales using marketing programs
  • Develop and execute business plans and budgets
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach and retain a professional team
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements and safety standards
  • Maintain physical facility and equipment
  • Foster company values and integrity among the team
  • Build community relationships and engage in brand-promoting activities
  • Perform administrative duties including planning, forecasting, scheduling and budgeting
