Job Requirements
- College degree or equivalent business management experience
- Minimum five years of comprehensive operations management experience
- Minimum seven years of management or supervisory experience in transit environment
- Experience in fixed route management
- Experience with Trapeze scheduling software
- Expertise in labor and union negotiations
- Strong knowledge of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety DOT and FTA compliance
- Strong MS Office skills
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively
Job Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent business management experience
- Management experience specifically in fixed route management, paratransit experience is a plus
- Minimum five years of comprehensive operations management experience
- Minimum seven years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment
- Knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software
- Experience in labor and union negotiations
- Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and DOT and FTA safety compliance
- Strong skills in MS Office
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- High degree of multi-tasking ability

Job Duties
- Ensure all performance goals are met
- Design, schedule, and manage effective operations
- Maintain an adequate and competent staff
- Provide proper fleet maintenance
- Conduct effective quality assurance for all divisions
- Collect, compile, analyze, and report data accurately as required by law and contract
- Comply with FTA and other regulatory requirements
- Manage environmental compliance and sustainability
- Respond professionally to passengers and public comments and concerns
- Address specific requests for assistance as needed
- Attend public meetings at the city's request
- Maintain positive employee morale to assure good working conditions
- Manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs
- Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff
- Communicate effectively with staff and support teams
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and fleet availability
- Oversee safety and training programs to ensure compliance
- Maintain routine client contact
- Conduct periodic departmental audits
- Review key operational metrics regularly
- Manage financial metrics continuously
- Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Participate in labor and employee relations activities
- Support contract renewal processes
- Create and present the location's annual budget
