Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of documented, franchised select service hotel management
  • Ability to leverage provided technology to effectively manage the property
  • Must possess an ability to take direction, manage employees, accomplish tasks independently, and pay attention to detail, to ownership's high standards, with little supervision
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and manage several tasks at once
  • Ability to remain calm and in control in emergency or difficult situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of franchised select service hotel management experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and guest service abilities
  • Experience in revenue management and budgeting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of hotel technology systems
  • Commitment to high standards and detail-oriented

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and actively manage housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast service, and guest reception departments to ensure a consistent, high quality guest experience
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores daily
  • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues satisfactorily
  • Monitor local market and competitor set to strategically calibrate rates for revenue maximization
  • Engage with the local community through CVB, Chamber, and other organizations
  • Implement and maintain effective sales and marketing plans
  • Manage the sales director to ensure group bookings, LNRs, and SMERF business
  • Engage with guests to obtain feedback
  • Hire, train, and develop employees
  • Delegate duties to optimize labor hours and minimize turnover
  • Maintain all hotel operations within budget
  • Work with ownership to create budgets and forecasts
  • Supervise deep cleaning and preventative maintenance initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with brand and ownership performance standards
  • Complete and submit all required reporting
  • Monitor and control employee labor hours
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping
  • Submit purchase orders to home office timely
  • Be on call 24 hours to assist with hotel issues
