Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of hotel management or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operational procedures and standards
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Physical ability to perform daily property inspections

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel management or similar leadership role
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting hotel operations
  • Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing and sales initiatives

Job Duties

  • Perform administrative duties including defining operating objectives, setting goals, striving for continual performance improvement, reading and writing reports, dictating memorandums and orally communicating with guests, managers, corporate office, and local associations
  • Critically review reports of occupancy and revenue, make judgments, periodically review selling prices and implement changes to maximize profits
  • Oversee and coordinate forecasts and budgets, meet deadlines, explain deviations, control expenditures with approvals, supervise business plan development and revisions
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, wage and hour laws, business taxes, liquor laws, permits and licenses, OSHA and EEOC requirements, and maintain required records
  • Implement programs for energy conservation, minority relations, safety and security, and control operated expenses, improving program effectiveness
  • Interview, hire, supervise and counsel department heads and supervisors, establish and maintain training programs, develop and delegate improvement plans, review management performance, build a competent management team fostering esprit de corps
  • Physically tour and visually inspect property daily, monitor cost control, cleanliness and quality throughout hotel, greet and maintain rapport with employees and customers, maintain guest room condition inventory, submit rehabilitation programs
  • Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips, participate in committees, and develop marketing and sales efforts to increase occupancy and food and beverage sales
