Job Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading a high-volume, upscale concept restaurant
- Wine knowledge required, experience as a sommelier preferred
- Servsafe Food and Alcohol certification preferred
- Some culinary experience or training a plus
- Formal business education or a restaurant management degree a plus
- Above average computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Job Duties
- Conduct facility walk through (interior and exterior) to ensure a clean, safe and guest-friendly atmosphere and ambiance
- Complete administrative office work including answering emails and voicemails, entering sales reports, paying invoices, checking deliveries
- Review previous day’s sales reports to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with management team, Regional Vice President, and corporate staff regarding business operations
- Review reservations and events scheduled for each day to ensure proper staffing
- Perform kitchen and bar line check and review inventory needs with Chef
- Set, submit and achieve budgeted sales and profit levels
- Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff
- Provide motivational leadership and follow up to staff
- Rotate through stations during service to monitor and provide feedback
- Interact regularly with guests to ensure a superior dining experience
- Complete closing duties including entering tips, payroll, and submitting sales reports
- Facilitate weekly manager’s meetings to review staffing and training needs
- Monitor inventory and ordering to ensure effective operations
- Plan and execute local marketing and public relations activities
- Recruit, hire, orient, and train restaurant personnel
- Conduct timely performance reviews and create development plans
- Review confirmed and pending banquets/special events
- Attend training courses and seminars
- Build relationships within the community
- Develop business through catering and private dining sales
