Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years of management experience in a cafe or restaurant setting
  • ability to work 45 hours per week including weekends
  • proficiency in scheduling and labor management
  • strong organizational skills
  • capacity to lead and motivate diverse teams
  • knowledge of P&L management
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • valid work authorization
  • physical ability to perform on-floor duties
  • commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Job Duties

  • Recruit and motivate an excellent team
  • oversee recruiting and new hire onboarding
  • plan trainings and development for the team
  • implement regular employee check ins to provide and pull feedback
  • perform disciplinary actions when necessary
  • coach and guide the AGM
  • meet or exceed sales goals
  • manage labor and COGS within budget
  • write effective schedules and approve timesheets
  • manage pars and end of period inventory
  • strategically cover call outs
  • coach and correct ordering
  • foster a safe and clean cafe environment for guests and employees
  • own preventative maintenance for the cafe
  • ensure a safe and respectful working environment for all employees and guests
  • attend weekly management meetings
  • give clear and direct feedback to staff
  • execute all duties of either FOH or BOH at the highest level
  • execute duties of the other discipline at a baseline functionality
  • address common facilities maintenance issues
  • organize shop-specific events and programming
  • work with team to maintain inventory availability
  • find inventive ways to increase revenue
