Job Requirements
- BS/BA is a plus
- Must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator
- Must have strong background in driving performance excellence through strong people management
- Five plus years in full P&L management responsibility preferably in hospitality service and/or retail environments
- Experience in problem-solving exercising sound judgment maintaining confidentiality and interacting professionally and effectively with co-workers clients and the general public
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
- Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
- Ability to complete assignments and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner often with strict and/or conflicting deadlines
- Excellent oral presentation writing and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and motivational skills
- Must have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills
- Veterinary boarding and/or grooming experience required
- Must have experience in managing inventory and accounts payable
- Must be able to work evenings weekends and holidays
- Must frequently lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift
- Must be able to stand walk and climb stairs frequently
- Must be able to work on computer system and work multi-line telephone
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant sanitation chemicals animal dander and excretions

Job Duties
- Supports the mission vision culture and policies of Destination Pet
- Ensures exceptional customer service through personal contact with customers associate training resolution of customer complaints and delivery of services
- Collaborate with the Destination Pet Support Staff on a regular basis including Operations Human Resources Marketing Facilities Legal
- Ensure the cohesiveness of all aspects of pet care services and cross training where necessary
- Manages all staff at center including recruitment hiring motivation training promotion counseling and termination
- Oversees scheduling of staff for work assignments managing budgets
- Manages center payroll and ensures timely approval
- Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance with labor laws OSHA EEOC ADA Fair Labor Practices
- Ensures safety of employees conducting safety training enforcing safe-handling rules complying with safety policies
- Prepares and delivers annual performance reviews
- Monitors and responds to pet guests needs ensuring safety security and comfort
- Resolves customer and staff complaints
- Manages center's social media accounts with weekly postings and replies
- Creates implements executes local marketing programs to acquire new customers and grow sales
- Attends community events and partners with local businesses to promote services
- Maintains inventory and reorders supplies
- Monitors and manages computer systems at center
- Addresses maintenance needs for safe comfortable environment
- Utilizes financial reports and statistics for decision making
- Responsible for cash management including payments and end-of-day balance
- Ensures bank deposits are completed as needed
- Promotes and markets services in the community
- Assists other team members as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
