Job Requirements
- Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available to close the store at least once per week
- Attend corporate meetings, conferences including overnight stays, and interstate travel
- Maintain valid identification for airline travel
- Frequent use of computer and telephonic devices
- Ability to move continuously throughout the store during shift
- Frequent bending, pushing, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to lift, carry or move up to 25 lbs
- Continuous walking and coordination during shift
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant work experience
- Proven financial management experience including driving top-line sales, interpreting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
- Ability to monitor inventory levels, achieve operational excellence, and execute merchandising directives
- Experienced in leadership management including talent attraction, development, motivation, and change management
- Proficient with technology such as Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain flexible and use good judgment in ambiguous situations
Job Duties
- Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed retail and service sales goals including guest loyalty and payroll
- Drive company profitability through operational excellence including expense control
- Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to optimize scheduling and productivity
- Address financial and operational issues identified through reporting and audits
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience
- Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services
- Maintain regular attendance and hold associates accountable to attendance policies
- Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team and manage staffing needs
- Address policy violations appropriately and fairly
- Build a highly engaged team embodying the Ulta Beauty brand through collaboration and communication
- Create an inclusive work environment encouraging associate growth and engagement
- Lead training, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, dress code, and standards
- Use scheduling and task management tools effectively
- Protect company assets and minimize loss through inventory and cash management
- Support continuous improvement by adopting company initiatives and technologies
- Communicate business trends and opportunities to field leadership regularly
