Job Requirements
- At least 5 years experience running a 250 room or larger full service hotel
- Knowledge of Hilton or Embassy Suites preferred
- Ability to lead and manage hotel operations
- Strong financial management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and develop employees
- Understanding of hotel sales and marketing strategies
- Commitment to upholding company values and providing excellent guest service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 5+ years of related hotel and management experience
- Proven track record of meeting budgets
- Understanding of P&L statements, budgets, and cost/inventory control
- Field management experience is preferred
- Sales background is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient with PC (Windows-based software)
- Proven track record of service and financial success
Job Duties
- Deliver results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and associate satisfaction and effectiveness and efficiencies
- Monitor the performance of financial and operational plans and take action to support the overall objectives of the Embassy Suites Jacksonville
- Maintain a clean, well-maintained quality product
- Ensure exceptional guest/employee relations
- Provide consistent coaching and engagement to employees to perform at a high level
- Maximize room revenues by anticipating and planning for market shifts
- develop and monitor strategic marketing prospects
- develop, implement and monitor annual business and marketing plans and participate in appropriate national marketing efforts
- Develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the local community
- Oversee the security function to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets
- Maintain a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage/benefit administration and compliance with policies and procedures and labor regulations
- Develop the annual budget and make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyalty
- Perform other duties as required
