Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • availability to work various shifts and weekends
  • compliance with state-mandated alcohol serving age requirements where applicable
  • physical ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • ability to perform manual tasks such as reaching, bending, and using hands
  • ability to taste and smell
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • ability to use close and peripheral vision and adjust focus
  • able to access all areas of the restaurant including sales floor, stock area, and register area

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a leadership role
  • minimum of 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • college and/or culinary schooling preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities

  • proficiency in computer skills

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance and reward or discipline staff including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and create a warm, hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and anticipated variances to management team
  • cascade corporate initiatives to staff
  • assist team members with duties as needed
  • champion sales-building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests
  • investigate and resolve food quality and service issues
  • maintain efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company policies
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor quality and cleanliness standards
  • control cash, inventory, food, and labor costs
  • manage financial reports and schedules
  • ensure proper use of equipment
  • maintain facilities and company assets
  • perform all other duties as assigned
