Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work long shifts of 10-12 hours
  • Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per shift
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes from intense heat to cold
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat frequently
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to read and act upon profit and loss statements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions
  • Exceptional guest service mindset
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and changing demands

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading a high-volume, upscale concept restaurant
  • Wine knowledge required, sommelier experience preferred
  • ServSafe Food and Alcohol certification preferred
  • Some culinary experience or training considered a plus
  • Formal business education or restaurant management degree a plus
  • Above average computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data and manage budgets effectively
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest service

Job Duties

  • Conduct facility walk through to ensure a clean, safe and guest-friendly atmosphere and ambiance
  • Complete administrative office work including answering emails and voicemails, entering sales reports, paying invoices, checking deliveries
  • Review daily sales reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate proactively with management team and corporate staff regarding operational matters
  • Review reservations and events to ensure proper staffing
  • Perform kitchen and bar line checks to ensure quality and quantity standards
  • Set, submit, and achieve budgeted sales and profit levels
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate menu changes and promotions
  • Provide motivational leadership and follow-up to staff
  • Rotate through restaurant stations during service to monitor activities
  • Interact regularly with guests to ensure excellent dining experience
  • Complete closing duties including tips, payroll, sales reports and cleaning
  • Facilitate weekly manager meetings on staffing and training needs
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies from approved vendors
  • Plan and execute local marketing and community relations activities
  • Recruit, hire, and train restaurant personnel
  • Conduct performance reviews and create individual development plans
  • Review banquets and special events planning with Sales Manager
  • Attend training courses and seminars to build professional skills
  • Build community relationships and promote brand awareness
  • Develop business through catering and private dining sales
