Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience in restaurant management
  • minimum 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • comply with state age requirements for alcohol service if applicable
  • physically able to stand for entire shifts and walk for long periods
  • ability to push, lift, carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to reach, bend, stoop, and use hands effectively
  • able to verbally communicate and use various types of vision
  • ability to access all restaurant areas including selling floor, stock, and register areas
  • ability to follow updated safety and sanitation procedures
  • willingness to perform all essential job functions with reasonable accommodations if needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • college or culinary schooling preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise employee performance
  • reward and discipline employees including terminations
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members for success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and create a welcoming atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and forecast variances
  • cascade corporate programs and initiatives to team
  • assist team members with job duties when needed
  • champion sales building and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests, investigate and resolve food quality and service issues
  • maintain efficient operations and cost controls
  • ensure compliance with OSHA and health and safety codes
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor daily activities for food quality and cleanliness
  • control cash, inventory, food and labor costs
  • manage P&L including food cost, labor cost, and carryout cost
  • follow recipes and portion control to manage food costs
  • optimize employee schedules and monitor performance
  • ensure proper use and maintenance of restaurant equipment and assets
  • perform all other duties as assigned
