Job Duties
- Manage daily restaurant operations in compliance with company policies and laws
- recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
- plan, assign, and direct work
- appraise employee performance
- reward and discipline employees including termination
- address complaints and resolve problems
- shape restaurant culture to ensure high employee engagement
- coach and mentor team members to ensure job success and guest satisfaction
- model professional behavior and create a welcoming atmosphere
- communicate sales performance and anticipated variances to management team
- cascade corporate programs and initiatives to staff
- assist team members occasionally with job duties
- champion sales-building activities and suggestive selling
- maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
- meet and greet guests
- investigate and resolve food quality and service issues to ensure guest satisfaction
- maintain efficient operations with proper cost control and profit management
- ensure compliance with OSHA and health and safety codes
- enforce safe work behaviors
- monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
- control daily operations including cash control, inventory, food and labor costs, financial reports, and schedules
- manage P&L including food cost, labor cost, and carryout costs
- control food costs by enforcing recipe and portion control and conducting weekly inventory
- optimize labor costs and schedules using company tools
- ensure proper use and maintenance of restaurant equipment
- maintain facility and company assets
- perform additional duties as assigned
