Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail management
  • Food Safety Manager certification required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • ability to problem solve and handle high-stress situations

Job Duties

  • Overseeing overall restaurant operations, management of staff, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities
  • focusing on employee selection, retention, and continuous operational improvements
  • demonstrating a strong commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction
  • reinforcing training and upholding Denny's Way service and brand quality standards throughout the entire restaurant
  • attracting, hiring, developing, coaching, and retaining restaurant managers and hourly employees to ensure an engaged, high-performing team
  • working to create and maintain a respectful and enjoyable environment for employees
  • using corporate training programs, individual development plans, and work assignments to develop employee knowledge and skills
  • providing timely, constructive coaching and feedback
  • directing restaurant operations to ensure that Denny's Brand Standards for food and facilities are consistently achieved
  • enforcing sanitary practices for the cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant
  • driving sales, guest count, and profit through local store marketing plans and community relationships
  • interpreting financial and operational reports to analyze data, identify gaps, and develop solutions
  • monitoring security procedures to protect guests, employees, and company assets
  • maintaining compliance with employment policies and regulations
  • proactively addressing and resolving problems including customer complaints and employee relations issues
  • exhibiting a 'Guests First' mindset to exceed guest expectations while balancing business needs
