Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Availability to work various shifts and weekends
  • Ability to meet physical job demands including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Compliance with state alcohol service age requirements where applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance
  • Reward and discipline employees including termination
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and variances to management team
  • Cascade corporate programs and initiatives
  • Assist team members with category duties as needed
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Greet guests and resolve food quality/service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations with cost and profit management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health codes, and company safety policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure food quality and cleanliness
  • Control day-to-day operations including cash control, inventory, food and labor management, financial reporting, and scheduling
  • Manage P&L including food cost, labor cost, carryout cost, and other controllable items
  • Follow recipes and portion control to control food costs
  • Manage labor costs by optimizing schedules and monitoring sales performance
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of restaurant equipment
  • Maintain facility and company assets
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
