Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years leadership experience in related restaurant industry
  • Proven ability to manage restaurant operations and staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Knowledge of OSHA, health and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage financial reports and budgets
  • Physical capability to stand for entire shift, walk long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and perform other physical tasks
  • Ability to access all restaurant areas
  • Commitment to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Compliance with state alcohol service regulations where applicable

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant strongly preferred
  • College or culinary schooling preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities
  • Dedication to exceptional guest service
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance and handle rewards or disciplinary actions including terminations
  • Address complaints and resolve problems promptly
  • Shape the restaurant culture to promote high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and forecast to management team
  • Cascade corporate programs and initiatives
  • Assist team members with their duties as needed
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Meet and greet guests
  • investigate and resolve food quality and service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost controls and profit management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors for guests and crew
  • Monitor daily food quality and cleanliness standards
  • Control daily operations including cash control, inventory, food and labor management, financial reporting, and scheduling
  • Manage food, labor, carryout costs, and other controllable expenses
  • Follow recipes and portion control to manage food costs
  • Conduct weekly inventory
  • Optimize labor schedules using company tools
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of restaurant equipment and facility
  • Perform other duties as assigned
