Job Description

StudioRes Columbia Northwest is a well-established hotel located at 300 Columbiana Circle in Columbia, South Carolina. This property is independently owned and operated by Hotel Management & Consulting, Inc. (HMC), a franchisee separate from Marriott International, Inc. The distinction means that all employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment, are controlled exclusively by HMC. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel management or similar leadership role
  • Ability to work full time on-site
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Flexibility to cover shifts when needed
  • Proficient in managing budgets and labor control
  • Ability to maintain high guest service standards

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train, and motivate a dedicated team of 6-12 staff members
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure the team achieves outstanding results
  • Ensure the hotel is always Guest Ready by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and swiftly addressing guest concerns
  • Manage and address guest reviews to maintain review standards
  • Follow brand guidelines, meet operational deadlines, manage budgets, control labor, occupancy, and P&L
  • Network within the local community to promote the property and build strong relationships
  • Lead in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy
  • Assist with housekeeping in rooms as needed and daily completion of laundry duties and public space needs
  • Flexible for covering employee shifts as needed to ensure operational continuity
  • Know and follow property emergency procedures and ensure the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • Other duties as assigned
