Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College degree in business, retail or hospitality desired
  • Knowledge and experience in fitness industry preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in assistant general manager, operations, or sales management
  • Strong service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple locations
  • Accurate, timely and policy-compliant work
  • Strong task completion and focus
  • Proven leadership in operations
  • Professionalism and cooperation
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Ability to relocate
  • Bilingual skills a plus
  • CPR/AED certification within first 30 days
  • Trustline registered or able to be registered
  • Alcohol/food certification as applicable
  • Attend required meetings and trainings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College degree in business, retail or hospitality desired
  • Knowledge and understanding of fitness including equipment, personal training, and group fitness
  • 2-3 years experience as assistant general manager, operations manager, or sales manager preferably in fitness, retail or hospitality
  • Strong service orientation and commitment to outstanding member experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally across multiple locations
  • Accurate and timely work quality with attention to policy and safety
  • Strong task completion and ability to maintain focus in a dynamic environment
  • Proven operations experience and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and cooperative work style
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings and business needs
  • Willingness to relocate for market expansion and growth
  • Bilingual skills considered a plus

Job Duties

  • Deliver EBITDA results by managing revenue and controllable costs
  • Review daily KPIs and identify trends for improvement
  • Actively participate in new member sales goals
  • Ensure execution of marketing programs to drive retention and conversion
  • Direct and supervise team to convert guests to members
  • Increase net memberships through retention and ancillary sales
  • Manage business reports and decrease unnecessary expenses
  • Create and maintain a welcoming and motivating member experience
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-run club environment
  • Interact proactively with members to gather feedback
  • Lead by example in completing tasks to improve member experience
  • Use key systems for scheduling, ordering, and operational management
  • Manage overtime, timekeeping issues, and facility requests
  • Oversee amenities such as pools and kids club
  • Collaborate with technicians on maintenance and safety
  • Monitor social media and member feedback for improvement
  • Lead club operations including scheduling, safety, compliance, and cost management
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and risk management
  • Understand roles and expectations of all club staff
  • Conduct walk-throughs to maintain brand standards
  • Manage custodial and technician teams on safety reviews
  • Oversee vendor bids, repairs, and maintenance costs
  • Participate in new initiative rollouts and provide feedback
  • Partner with training and development for operational excellence
  • Develop teams across departments to meet expectations
  • Hire and onboard new talent
  • Assess and hire candidates effectively
  • Hold team accountable to brand standards
  • Provide regular communication and leadership
  • Ensure completion of required training
  • Partner with cross-functional teams
  • Identify and develop future leaders
  • Conduct performance management and coaching
  • Deliver annual performance reviews
  • Build business acumen through monthly management reports
