Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Minimum of 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurants preferred
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Compliance with state alcohol serving age requirements where applicable
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to perform job functions including bending, stooping, and using hands
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
  • Ability to access all areas of the restaurant

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance and manage employee relations including discipline and termination
  • Foster a positive restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and cascade corporate initiatives
  • Assist team members with duties as needed
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Meet and greet guests and resolve food quality and service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations, enforce cost controls, and manage profitability
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company safety policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor daily food quality and cleanliness standards
  • Control cash handling, inventory, food and labor management
  • Manage P&L including food and labor costs
  • Follow recipes and portion control while managing inventory
  • Optimize labor schedules using company tools
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and maintenance of facility
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
