Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
  • Must have general knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Ability to quickly become knowledgeable about and able to train others in Wendy's systems
  • Ability to work, concentrate and perform duties accurately in a fast-paced environment that may involve noise and hot/cold temperatures or other elements
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Frequent lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds, as necessary), reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and stooping is required
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure and giving sound advice and direction
  • Must be able to take direction, give direction, work well in a team environment and have strong customer orientation focus
  • Must exhibit professionalism, composure and discretion when expediting or resolving all customer related concerns and issues
  • Flexibility to work a 50 hour work week
  • Must be available to report to work promptly and regularly, and to work all dayparts and days of the week
  • May be required to work in multiple locations and must have the ability to travel to other restaurants as business needs dictate
  • Must have and maintain ServSafe Certification
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to drive long distances as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to quickly learn and train others on Wendy's systems
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures and health sanitation regulations
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Proven ability to analyze data and improve operational performance
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Professionalism, composure and discretion in customer interactions
  • Valid ServSafe Certification
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
  • Flexible schedule availability including all shifts and multiple locations when needed.

Job Duties

  • Provide coaching to the team and create a fun, inviting work environment where the team feels respected and valued
  • Identify 5-Star talent and schedule effectively to put the right people in the right places at the right time
  • Manage daily operations and staff of the Wendy's restaurant under the support of a District Manager
  • Execute all Company policies, procedures, programs and systems
  • Ensure achievement of all restaurant objectives following Company guidelines and compliance with federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices
  • Lead, interview, select, direct, train and develop Assistant General Managers, Shift Managers, Team Trainers and Crew
  • Maximize store sales goals versus budget and prior year with participation in marketing programs
  • Evaluate store performance using Company inspection forms
  • Analyze restaurant performance data to resolve unfavorable trends and enhance sales and profit
  • Manage requirements for new product rollouts and procedures
  • Ensure store compliance with Company operating policies to protect Wendy's brand
  • Train and monitor food safety procedures adhering to Company policies and health regulations
  • Coach and retrain managers and take corrective actions as supported by District Manager
  • Manage food, labor, paper costs and other controllable expenses
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints
  • Conduct regular managers' meetings to reinforce priorities
  • Develop subordinates to maximize their contributions and future promotability
  • Execute proper training and development practices
  • Ensure proper staffing through recruitment, recognition and retention
  • Prepare and conduct quality performance feedback and appraisals
  • Take corrective actions related to customer service or performance issues
  • Monitor and improve Quality, Service and Cleanliness standards
  • Utilize the Customer Experience Playbook emphasizing "Delight Every Customer"
  • Diagnose service issues and direct relevant Playbook solutions.
