Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a leadership role required
  • 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining preferred
  • adherence to state-mandated age requirements for alcohol service where applicable
  • ability to stand for entire shift and walk long periods
  • capability to push, lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • ability to reach with hands
  • manual dexterity
  • ability to bend and stoop
  • good taste and smell
  • verbal communication skills
  • ability to use close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
  • ability to access all restaurant areas including selling floor, stock, and register areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4 to 6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant strongly preferred
  • college or culinary schooling preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline employees including terminations
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape the culture of the restaurant and foster high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members for success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and forecast variances
  • cascade corporate programs and initiatives
  • assist team members with job duties as needed
  • champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover and sales metrics
  • meet and greet guests and resolve service issues
  • maintain efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company policies
  • enforce safe work practices
  • monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • control day-to-day operations including cash control, inventory management, scheduling, and reviewing financial reports
  • manage profit and loss including food and labor costs
  • control food costs through recipe and portion control and inventory processes
  • optimize labor scheduling with company tools
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facilities and company assets
  • perform other duties as assigned
