Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent business management experience
  • Minimum five years of comprehensive experience in operations management
  • Minimum seven years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment
  • Knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software
  • Expertise in labor and union negotiations
  • Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, DOT and FTA safety compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Additional duties based on contract requirements

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent business management experience
  • Management experience required
  • Minimum five years of comprehensive operations management experience
  • Minimum seven years of management or supervisory experience in transit environment
  • Knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software
  • Expertise in labor and union negotiations
  • Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, recruitment, and DOT and FTA safety compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of multi-tasking skills

Job Duties

  • Manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs
  • Identify, select, train and mentor location staff
  • Communicate frequently with location staff and support team members
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance plan to ensure fleet availability
  • Manage safety and training programs in compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain routine client contact to meet or exceed expectations
  • Conduct periodic departmental audits
  • Review key operational metrics daily, weekly and monthly
  • Manage all location financial metrics and develop action plans for exceptions
  • Implement and promote company policies and procedures
  • Interact with committee to support policy and program improvements
  • Participate in labor and employee relations activities
  • Provide information to support contract renewals
  • Create and present annual budget for location
