Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of retail or warehouse management experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Forklift operator certification required
  • Open shift availability required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and teams
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 30 pounds
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature and noise conditions
  • Ability to use basic computer software

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager
  • Strong drive for results and solid work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead large teams
  • Solid understanding of shrink controls, staff development, merchandising, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities managing cross-functional teams, training, and driving results
  • Knowledge of store operations including membership, front-line, gas station, tire bay, maintenance, receiving, and omni procedures
  • Completion of company training program preferred
  • High school diploma and/or college degree preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel, and email
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Forklift operator certification required
  • Open shift availability
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic department leadership in assigned departments
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard team members
  • Oversee labor planning and scheduling
  • Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management
  • Champion member experience standards
  • Execute operational readiness standards
  • Lead department talent management
  • Utilize tools and reporting for decision-making
  • Ensure compliance and safety standards
  • Support special initiatives and transitions
  • Maintain equipment and facilities
  • Perform cross-functional support as needed
  • Utilize BJ's MY WORK system daily
  • Operate equipment safely as required
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
