Job Requirements
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
- light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- effective verbal and written communication with all levels of employees and guests
- attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented
- effective listening and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments through department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and sales operations reviews
- meet all financial review dates and corporate programs timely
- hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- ensure department heads maintain budget productivity and accounting procedures
- develop managers through competency and corporate training programs
- collaborate with Director of Sales on daily sales meetings focusing on prospecting and account calls
- participate in hotel sales activities including client calls and hosting events
- provide M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- monitor development of management trainees
- adhere to all Highgate policies and train managers for compliance
- assist in hotel budget process
- ensure department training in service standards
- create positive team-oriented environment focused on guest and employee motivation
- conduct regular room inspections with housekeeping and engineering
- process invoices daily using A/P procedures
- submit financial documents monthly to Corporate Office
- monitor property maintenance via inspections and preventive programs
- ensure employees maintain friendly, courteous and efficient guest interactions
- forecast monthly financial positions and reforecast accurately
- conduct management interviews and enforce hiring procedures
- interview final candidates for management positions
- perform performance appraisals for Executive Committee members
- motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management staff per SOPs
- perform additional duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
- meet and assist clients on property for sales efforts
- be present in public areas during peak times greeting guests
- enforce hotel safe handling security and audits
- conduct monthly credit meetings and engage in credit and collections policies
- complete and certify required corporate training modules
- ensure all scheduled meetings occur on property
