Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in membership-based, recreation, or community organizations
  • Proven track record in staff supervision, financial oversight, and member experience leadership
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and inclusive culture of the Tucson J
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

Job Duties

  • Provide visionary, values-based leadership for Membership, Aquatics, Racquet Sports, and Sports & Recreation departments
  • Supervise, mentor, and support departmental directors and managers, ensuring accountability, collaboration, and alignment with organizational goals
  • Partner with the CXO to establish annual plans, performance metrics, and operational priorities that advance the Tucson J's mission and member experience strategy
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives designed to grow membership, enhance program participation, and deepen community engagement
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless member and guest experiences throughout the J
  • Participate as an active member of the Tucson JCC Yoatzim (Advisors) team
  • Ensure each program area delivers outstanding customer service, hospitality, and safety
