Job Requirements

  • Ability to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to two minutes
  • ability to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
  • ability to work outside for prolonged periods regardless of weather
  • ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • ability to stand comfortably for hours
  • ability to climb a ladder and use a stepladder
  • ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed for stocking and cleaning
  • ability to safely navigate between and around cars in the drive-thru line
  • ability to operate any stand position quickly and cleanly during peak hours
  • ability to maintain situational awareness of shift operations
  • ability to assertively and graciously confront coworkers to address operational, procedural, or cultural issues
  • adaptability and problem-solving in stressful situations
  • effective management of multiple projects and deadlines

Job Qualifications

  • Proven leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment with over 40 team members
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and email
  • ability to pass a criminal background check
  • valid driver’s license
  • demonstrated skills in coaching and training employees
  • experience managing scheduling and labor costs
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • capacity to lead and direct multiple personality types effectively under pressure

Job Duties

  • Become proficient in all Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets
  • maintain excellent wait times, cleanliness, and customer interactions through training, coaching, and encouragement
  • provide regular feedback to each team member on strengths and areas of growth
  • create weekly shift schedules that balance crew needs, availability, and budgeted labor costs
  • track and order necessary inventory, small wares, parts, and equipment while minimizing waste
  • ensure appropriate cash handling, deposits, and change
  • work self-sufficiently and involve the district coach when necessary
  • ensure crew knowledge and compliance with health and safety requirements
  • develop new leaders to fill future roles
  • promptly implement and communicate directives from upper management
  • delegate tasks thoughtfully to leadership team and Brewistas to enhance efficiency and development
  • manage hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions for shift leads and baristas
