Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • extensive leadership experience in upscale restaurant environments
  • strong guest service orientation
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • ability to work under pressure and handle long shifts
  • physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • flexible schedule with availability for nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading a high-volume upscale restaurant
  • wine knowledge with sommelier experience preferred
  • ServSafe Food and Alcohol certification preferred
  • culinary experience or training a plus
  • formal business education or restaurant management degree a plus
  • above average computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Duties

  • Conduct facility walk through to ensure a clean, safe and guest-friendly atmosphere
  • complete administrative office work including answering emails, entering sales reports and paying invoices
  • review previous day’s sales reports and resolve discrepancies
  • communicate effectively with management team, regional vice president, and corporate staff
  • review daily reservations and events for proper staffing
  • perform kitchen and bar line checks to ensure quality and inventory needs
  • set and achieve budgeted sales and profit levels
  • conduct pre-shift meetings to discuss menu changes and promotions
  • provide motivational leadership and communication to staff
  • rotate through restaurant stations to monitor activities
  • interact regularly with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • complete closing duties including submitting sales reports and reconciling payroll
  • facilitate weekly manager meetings for staffing and training
  • monitor inventory levels for all restaurant supplies
  • plan and execute local marketing and public relations activities
  • recruit, hire, and train restaurant personnel
  • write and conduct performance reviews and development plans
  • review banquet and special event plans with sales manager
  • attend training courses to enhance professional knowledge
  • build community relationships to promote brand awareness
  • develop catering and private dining sales
