Job Requirements
- Must reside in California if applying
- College degree or equivalent business management experience
- Minimum of five years experience in operations management
- Minimum of seven years management or supervisory experience in transit
- Knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software
- Expertise in labor and union negotiations
- Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, safety DOT and FTA compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Subject to pre-employment drug test and background check after conditional offer
Job Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent business management experience
- Management experience required
- Minimum of five years of comprehensive experience in operations management
- Combination of seven years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment
- Knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software
- Expertise in labor and union negotiations and expenses
- Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, safety, DOT and FTA compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of multitasking skills
- Additional duties based upon individual contract requirements
Job Duties
- Effectively manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs
- Identify, select, train and mentor location staff
- Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members
- Oversee vehicle maintenance plan and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements
- Oversee safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements
- Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations
- Conduct periodic departmental audits
- Daily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics
- Ensure all location financial metrics are managed continuously and action plans are developed for exceptions
- Implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Interact with bridges committee to effect positive changes to policies and programs
- Participate in labor and employee relations activities
- Provide insight and information to support contract renewals
- Create and present annual budget for the location
