Job Requirements

  • Five years operations management experience
  • Two years management in cultural, iconic, amusement or museum attraction preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated financial management and analytical skills
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws

Job Duties

  • Coach, supervise, direct all department managers to meet daily operational needs
  • Schedule management personnel as necessary
  • Develop training standards for alcohol service, customer service, safety, harassment
  • Host management team meetings and conduct training sessions
  • Track, maintain and budget inventory and cost of goods with Executive Chef and Retail Operations Manager
  • Act as main liaison between the Client and SSA
  • Maintain a close relationship with client staff to ensure positive working relations
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance guest experience and operational output
  • Attend client meetings and report to Regional Manager
  • Manage compliance with applicable laws
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
  • Uphold company policies and procedures
  • Oversee unit financial management through budgeting, forecasting and sales/per cap management
  • Ensure fiscal deadlines are met
  • Manage invoice processing and financial reporting
  • Complete business assessments and market pricing analysis
  • Forecast sales and maintain sales analysis
  • Manage payroll and controllable profit within guidelines
  • Achieve sales, per cap and controllable budget goals
  • Minimize controllable costs
  • Implement SSA EXTRA Guest Service
  • Manage daily functions of applicable departments
  • Maintain contract knowledge and implementation
  • Support progressive discipline documentation
  • Update operating manuals
  • Review and approve special event plans
  • Manage menu design and pricing
  • Participate in long-range planning
  • Manage capital projects
  • Oversee business legal needs
  • Handle employee integration and exit processes
  • Promote inclusive and supportive workplace
  • Manage unit publications
  • Support sustainability and conservation efforts
  • Drive community engagement and giving back
  • Perform other necessary tasks
