Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
- Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all employee levels and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented approach
- Attendance at all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participation in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Regular attendance aligned with Highgate scheduling standards
- High standards of appearance and grooming including name tags
- Compliance with safety and operational regulations

- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information

Job Duties
- Tour operating departments daily and make adjustments as needed
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs timely
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- Develop managers through competency and corporate training programs
- Collaborate with Director of Sales in daily HHBR meetings focusing on sales prospecting and account calls
- Engage in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Monitor management trainee development
- Adhere to and enforce Highgate policies and procedures
- Oversee and assist in budget processes
- Ensure training in service standards across departments
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction
- Inspect rooms regularly with Housekeeping and Engineering managers
- Ensure daily invoice processing and monthly financial document compliance
- Maintain cleanliness and preventive maintenance of the property
- Ensure employees provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service
- Forecast monthly financial position analyzing revenue and expenses
- Conduct management interviews and enforce hiring procedures
- Interview final candidates for management positions
- Perform Executive Committee member appraisals and ensure compliance in staff appraisals
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline management personnel
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership
- Ensure fair employee treatment according to company policies
- Meet clients on property to support sales
- Greet guests during peak times in public areas
- Ensure hotel safe security and monthly audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit and collection policies
- Complete corporate training and become certified trainer
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
