Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in restaurant or hotel management preferably in upscale or fine dining environments
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency with operational systems and software tools such as POS systems reservation and event management software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial forecasting

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience as assistant general manager general manager or multi-unit manager in high-volume full-service polished upscale or fine dining concept with average unit volume over 6 million annual sales
  • WSET certification preferred boutique hotel and banquet or event experience preferred
  • Experienced and comfortable with tracking KPIs and shrinking cost structure through scheduling product ordering and operational expense management
  • Demonstrated passion to deliver radical hospitality by being actively involved with the team on the floor observing and supporting
  • Proven ability to find efficiencies that add value to the guest experience while handling adversity internally and externally
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to connect with diverse people and conduct effective meetings and one on ones

Job Duties

  • Oversees all aspects of restaurant and inn operations including purchasing quality standards training and service preparing and implementing standard operating procedures
  • Leads and holds operations team accountable through consistent performance feedback and shift running prioritizing scheduling to be present during peak business hours
  • Ensures operations team is aware of daily sales forecast and relevant events to enable ideal planning scheduling and resourcing of all shifts
  • Establishes and communicates weekly business priorities and training goals to continuously improve team function and hospitality
  • Manages and oversees the private events business ensuring seamless coordination between front of house and back of house to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve revenue targets
  • Completes weekly sales and labor forecasting using knowledge of convention calendar and citywide event calendar
  • Produces weekly leadership schedule and manages approvals for leadership time off while overseeing team scheduling
  • Responsible for labor cost of sales and operating expense management within budget guidelines
  • Leads weekly manager meetings attends staff pre shifts and other necessary meetings to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Addresses guest feedback collaborates with marketing to prioritize guest recovery for neutral or negative reviews and maintains high guest service scores on review platforms
