Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Minimum 4-6 years in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts and weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle conflict resolution
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Basic business math and accounting knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and handle various physical tasks
  • Compliance with state-mandated alcohol serving age requirements (if applicable)

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance, reward, discipline, and terminate employees as necessary
  • Address employee complaints and resolve problems
  • Shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members for success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and create a warm, friendly, hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and variances to management
  • Cascade corporate programs and initiatives to staff
  • Assist team members with job duties as needed
  • Champion sales-building activities and suggestive selling
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Meet and greet guests, investigate and resolve food quality and service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations with appropriate cost control and profit management
  • Ensure OSHA, health and safety codes, and company safety policies compliance
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • Control cash, inventory, and financial reporting
  • Manage food, labor, carryout costs
  • Optimize employee schedules and monitor sales performance
  • Ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • Maintain facility and company assets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
