Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Hotel General Manager in a branded hotel environment
  • experience with Choice brand strongly preferred
  • demonstrated success in guest satisfaction, team leadership, and financial performance
  • strong operational knowledge across all hotel departments
  • proven ability to engage and develop teams with a hands-on leadership style
  • solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and P and L management
  • excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in hospitality management systems and tools
  • bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • strong sense of accountability and ownership

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead department heads and team members
  • foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes high morale and productivity
  • uphold and model company and brand standards in appearance, professionalism, and behavior
  • ensure team alignment with StepStone's mission, vision, and values
  • manage all aspects of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and sales
  • maintain high service standards and guest satisfaction, with a focus on GSS/TripAdvisor performance
  • ensure compliance with brand standards and operational policies
  • develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs
  • monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability, taking corrective actions when needed
  • analyze performance data and implement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and revenue growth
  • partner with sales and marketing teams to optimize occupancy and revenue
  • build strong community relationships to increase local and group bookings
  • support innovative marketing strategies to elevate brand presence and market share
  • ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards
  • lead emergency preparedness, risk management, and property safety initiatives
  • oversee preventative maintenance programs to protect property assets
  • perform other duties as assigned
