Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Progressive hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or service industry experience preferred
  • Must be willing to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must meet legal age to serve alcoholic beverages at select properties
  • Must be proficient in Windows OS and company-approved software
  • Must have strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be attentive to detail and able to meet deadlines
  • Must work well under pressure and maintain composure
  • Must be able to evaluate and decide quickly and accurately
  • Must have positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be capable of following established guidelines and procedures
  • Must be effective at listening and resolving concerns
  • Must have basic financial skills
  • Must have at least basic market knowledge

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel properly welcomed
  • Work together with all team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel facility features and amenities
  • Support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology appropriately for the role
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized both front and back of house
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety
  • Greet guests happily while cleaning, using their name if possible
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
  • Prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports for effective communication
  • Maintain a flawless uniform and personal grooming per the company handbook
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with all team members
  • Demonstrate willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • Conduct daily walks through guest rooms and public spaces to ensure service and cleanliness standards
  • Verify all rooms pass inspection and cleanliness checklists
  • Oversee onboarding of new team members ensuring adherence to onboarding procedures
  • Complete all daily summary and night audit processes as per policy
  • Start and complete shift handover reports and upload required daily reports
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and conduct self-audits and corrective actions
  • Maintain team member attire standards and enforce uniform policies
  • Certify and maintain all fire and life safety inspections and correct deficiencies
  • Confirm that preventative maintenance tasks are completed and inspected
  • Monitor adherence to established work schedules and adjust departmental shifts as needed
  • Foster a culture of learning and safety that encourages mistakes and development
  • Provide staff training and ensure functional expertise in roles
  • Communicate growth opportunities and career paths to team members
  • Deliver daily positive feedback and coaching
  • Review daily time clock punches for accuracy
  • Process purchases through the proper order system and submit invoices correctly
  • Oversee invoice processing ensuring proper accrual
  • Manage inventory according to company program and maintain clean storage areas
  • Ensure excellent management performance and guest satisfaction scores
  • Achieve spotless cleanliness verified by leadership walk-throughs and guest reviews
  • Track product consistency and quality through checklists and performance ratings
