Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be available to close the store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate meetings, conferences with overnight stays and interstate travel
  • Maintain valid identification for airline travel
  • Continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts
  • Frequent bending, pushing, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Frequent use of computers, telephonic devices, and office supplies
  • Ability to engage in an interactive process for reasonable accommodations if disabled
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance
  • Able to enforce and uphold company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to dress code standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced, retail management or relevant experience
  • Proven success with driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expense
  • Demonstrated ability in monitoring inventory, achieving operational excellence, driving a service culture, and executing merchandising directives
  • Experience attracting, developing, and motivating top talent
  • Skilled in adapting to change and leading teams through transitions
  • Proficient with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to react under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty including credit, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support with store scheduling needs to maximize productivity, achieve sales and payroll goals, and complete workload on time and within the payroll budget
  • Address any issues identified by Ulta Beauty’s financial and operational reporting, store visits, and audit results to achieve goals and drive profitability
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
  • Maintain regular attendance and hold all store associates accountable to the attendance policy
  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent
  • Address policy violations with appropriate corrective action up to employment separation
  • Build an engaged team through effective collaboration and communication
  • Create an inclusive environment that inspires associate growth and engagement
  • Lead manager and associate development including training, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning
  • Participate and ensure direct reports participate in ongoing training and brand education
  • Model open communication by sharing enterprise strategy and creating aligned goals
  • Promote teamwork by working alongside management, setting priorities, and providing direction
  • Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to drive business results
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Enforce dress code adherence
  • Use scheduling tools to provide exceptional guest experience and reduce loss
  • Prioritize and execute store workload using task management tools
  • Protect company assets by ensuring safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention
  • Execute day-to-day inventory control and theft reporting
  • Support continuous improvement and adoption of initiatives and technology
  • Communicate feedback to field leadership on business trends and operational challenges.
