Job Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of upper-level management experience in hospitality
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to encourage, lead and manage a team by example
  • High level of creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both internally and externally
  • Ability to convert vision into specific and tangible actions to benefit the property

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of upper-level management experience in hospitality
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in strategic sales and marketing development
  • Financial acumen including budgeting and expense management
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Develop, implement, monitor and participate in comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and average rates
  • Work directly with ownership group to strategize and implement business growth projects
  • Coordinate and assist with guest satisfaction and guest resolutions
  • Maintain cross-relationship with restaurant and spa departments to promote overall property success
  • Protect and enhance hotel assets through programs in maintenance, security, housekeeping and capital budgeting
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements and reports and provide controls for handling hotel receipts
  • Coordinate weekly forecasting and planning of staffing and operating costs in alignment with sales and cost forecasts
  • Review and approve all operating expenses
  • Perform necessary tasks such as networking, local industry events, and community relations to achieve financial goals
  • Supervise and develop all operating departments including reservations, front office, guest services, housekeeping, security, sales and marketing, accounting, and people and culture
  • Conduct interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees and resolving complaints
