Job Requirements
- Two to three years of restaurant management experience or one year as a Benihana manager with demonstrated positive results
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in food planning, preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping and report preparation
- Valid driver’s license where applicable
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Agreement to background check
- ServSafe certified and alcohol service certified preferred
- Knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel

- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping and report preparation
- Knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
- Must possess valid driver’s license where applicable
- ServSafe certification and alcohol service certification preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs
Job Duties
- Oversees and manages all areas of the restaurant and makes final decisions on guest service issues
- Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints
- Inspects dining room, food receiving, preparation, production and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are being adhered to
- Supervises cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arranges for repairs, contracts and other services
- Maintains appropriate restaurant image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
- Ensures good safety practices for employees and guests and that emergency and security procedures are in place
- Plans, coordinates and approves scheduling of all restaurant departments
- Prepares required paperwork including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner
- Assists in developing, planning and executing marketing and promotional activities and communicates campaigns to staff
- Ensures sanitary practices for food handling, maintains kitchen and dining cleanliness
- Ensures consistent high quality of food preparation and service
- Manages restaurant inventories including food, liquor, beer, wine, furniture, accessories, equipment and tools
- Controls receipt verification of orders and adherence to the restaurant's receiving policies
- Monitors budgets and financial information to ensure efficient operation
- Prepares budgets and conducts budget analysis
- Handles cash and other receipts according to policies
- Provides direction to employees on operational issues
- Interviews, selects and hires hourly employees and conducts new hire orientations
- Develops employees through performance feedback and reviews
- Prepares schedules to ensure adequate staffing
- Administers disciplinary actions consistent with company policies
- Leads weekly management meetings and acts as a role model and teacher to staff
