Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • college or culinary schooling preferred
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • compliance with state-mandated age requirements for alcohol service where applicable
  • physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, use hands dexterously, and communicate effectively
  • adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to access all restaurant areas including selling floor, stock, and register areas

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire and train employees
  • plan, assign and direct work while appraising performance
  • discipline and terminate employees as necessary addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • shape restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members to achieve guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and variances to management team
  • cascade corporate initiatives to staff
  • occasionally assist team members with category duties
  • champion sales building and suggestive selling activities
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality and service issues to ensure guest satisfaction
  • maintain efficient operations with cost controls and profit management
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor daily activities for quality and cleanliness
  • control cash, security, inventory, food, and labor costs
  • manage P&L including food, labor and controllable expenses
  • ensure proper use and maintenance of restaurant equipment and facility
  • perform all other assigned duties
