Job Requirements
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen
- Work environment will be a combination of indoors and outdoors
- Eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Completion of a four year college degree in a relevant field is desirable though a combination of relevant experience and education will be considered
- At least 5 years of experience managing a fixed route or paratransit bus operation of similar size and scope
- Must be able to navigate labor relations issues and work effectively with union partners
- Must be able to manage cost control and financial budgets
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable
- Must understand transit system regulations and operations
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
- Understanding of transportation technology needed
Job Qualifications
- Completion of a four year college degree in a relevant field is desirable
- Experience in business administration, logistics, transportation or related field or equivalent business experience preferred
- At least 5 years of experience managing a fixed route or paratransit bus operation of similar size and scope
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws
- Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients
- Ability to manage cost control and financial budgets
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of technology, apps, Wi-Fi, and transportation technology
- Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent presentation skills, ability to influence people at all levels
- Ability to organize and perform work efficiently with strong attention to detail
- Ability to navigate labor relations issues and work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances and negotiations
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable
Job Duties
- Continuously build relationships with employees, clients, union partners, and the local community
- Set commercial and operational strategic direction for the business unit team according to location and client contract
- Lead the management team and employee workforce to achieve corporate safety goals, service performance, and financial objectives
- Identify, suggest, and develop business growth opportunities
- Optimize the return on assets including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and performance management
- Identify and analyze KPIs to maintain positive results
- Ensure services are provided within budget and develop and implement action plans to improve operational efficiencies
